WHY WE CREATED THIS EVENT

The Friends of the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization in Waynesboro, Virginia. Every day, there is an influx of animals brought into our municipal shelter, and some require extensive medical treatment. The shelter's medical budget cannot cover these treatments, which would leave these animals untreated and in horrendous pain. That is when our group steps in. We make sure these animals are seen by a vet, tested for various aliments, given proper medications, and have the surgeries they may need. Once these animals recover, they are available for adoption. So far, we have had a 100% success rate in finding furever homes for the animals we have cared for.
