Today we wanted to share with our followers anothe Today we wanted to share with our followers another aspect of the help our non profit group offers to our local shelter Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center @svasc_animals. Meet Patton! A big, strong, healthy young boy who has ended up at our shelter. Patton doesn't need us to take him to the vet, he needs the help that a trainer can give him. Adopters sometimes look at a dog with an injury or illness and know they can nurse that animal back to health, but a dog who needs training can sometimes make people shy away thinking they don't know how to "fix" them. Medical reasons are not the only reason that animals get overlooked and not adopted. Patton needs to learn leash manners and some important social skills. He is a lovable, friendly, high energy young dog, just 1 year and 8 months old, and he is smart and eager to learn. We want to give him the advantage that good manners bring to a shelter dog. We are gonna give Patton some weeks away from the shelter and are sending him to our good friend, Christopher Kirtley at Southern Hospetality LLC. We know Patton will be in good hands! This training is being made possible because of donations from our wonderful friends. We want to do whatever it takes to help our local shelter get forever homes for their animals. As always, we thank all of you for the support we continue to get from our community.
